Company Overview

Founded on integrity and technical excellence, Master Fluid Solutions has a nearly 75 year history of working closely with the worldwide metalworking community. The company develops and markets a full line of specialty cutting and grinding fluids, cutting oils, concentrated washing and cleaning compounds, and rust preventives under the TRIM® and Master STAGES™ brand trademarks. These products are environmentally sound and when used in conjunction with its XYBEX® fluid management systems, are the most durable and stable fluid products available anywhere today.

In early 2024, Master Fluid Solutions determined that it needed to actively pursue lab digitalization, upgrade its software infrastructure, and improve its data management capabilities. It was also interested in providing AI and DOE to its R&D staff to accelerate research and the pace of innovation. With these objectives in mind, the management team along with key lab and IT personnel performed a review of potential software vendors.

Why Master Fluid Solutions Chose Alchemy

After a competitive search process that included examples of Master Fluid Solutions’ lab work digitalized in Alchemy, they selected Alchemy to provide an integrated Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN) and Laboratory Information Management system (LIMS) across their R&D and technical service teams. The primary reasons were the quality of the software platform itself, the scientific expertise of the personnel, and Alchemy’s more comprehensive and interactive approach to running AI and DOE in its ELN.
